The Bra Fit Experience (“we,” “us,” or “our”) exists to help you understand your own body. That work is personal, and so is the information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
We are an Australian business, and we handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We also serve clients around the world, so we hold ourselves to a high global standard of privacy and apply the same care to every client, wherever you live.
This policy applies to everything we offer: our website, your subscription and community membership, and our virtual and in person fitting sessions. By using our services, you agree to what is set out here.
1. Your Fitting Sessions
Fittings are the most personal thing we do, so we hold them to the highest standard of care.
- Recorded only if you choose. Virtual fittings are not recorded by default. A session is only ever recorded if you choose it and give your consent first, and we capture that consent before any recording begins. If you do, the recording is made for you, stored securely, never shared, and never used for marketing or anything beyond your own fitting. You can ask us to delete it at any time. If you say nothing, nothing is recorded.
- Private by default. Your session is one to one between you and your fitter. No one else joins, watches, or reviews it without your knowledge and consent.
- Held on a secure platform. Sessions run through our booking platform using Microsoft Teams, over encrypted connections. We ask you to join from a private space where you feel comfortable.
- Your fit notes. After a session we may keep written notes about your fit (such as your size, shape, and preferences) so we can support you over time. These are stored securely and are never shared. You can ask us to delete them at any point.
- Your choice, always. You lead the session. You choose what to show, what to share, and what to leave out. You can pause or end a fitting whenever you need to.
2. Sensitive Information and Consent
Some of what you share with us (body measurements, fit concerns, and anything you tell us about comfort, pain, or health related to your body) is treated as sensitive information under privacy law. We only collect it with your consent, we only use it to provide your fitting and education, and we never sell it or use it for advertising. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
3. What We Collect
- Identity and contact details: your name, email, phone number, and postal address where relevant.
- Account and subscription data: your membership tier, billing history, and community profile.
- Fit information: measurements, shape, size, and preferences you share during fittings (see Sections 1 and 2).
- Payment data: handled securely by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our systems.
- Community activity: posts, comments, and messages you share inside the community.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device, and usage patterns collected through cookies (see Section 10).
4. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver your fittings, subscription, and community access.
- To support you over time with continuity of care and education.
- To manage payments, bookings, and your account.
- To communicate with you about your membership and sessions.
- To send you updates or offers, only where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe anytime.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We only use your information where we have a lawful basis: to deliver what you have signed up for, to meet legal duties, with your consent, or for genuine business reasons such as keeping the platform secure.
5. Inside the Community
The community is a shared space, so treat it as one. Anything you post (your words, photos, or questions) can be seen by other members. Please share only what you are comfortable being seen. What you share in a private fitting is never posted to the community by us. We moderate the space to keep it safe, and we may remove content or members that put others at risk.
6. When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We share it only in these limited ways:
- Trusted providers: the platforms that help us run the business (booking, payments, hosting, video, email), who process data on our behalf under strict obligations.
- Legal reasons: where we are required by law or to protect the safety of our members.
- Business changes: if the business is ever sold or restructured, your information may transfer as part of that, and you will be told.
7. The Platforms We Use
To run The Bra Fit Experience we rely on trusted third party services, including our booking and membership platform, Microsoft Teams for video fittings, our payment processor, and our email tools. When your information passes through these services, it is also handled under their own privacy terms. We choose providers that take security seriously, and we only share what is needed to deliver your experience.
8. Where Your Information Is Held
Because we serve clients around the world and use trusted online tools, some of your information may be stored or processed on secure servers outside Australia. Wherever it is held, we apply the same high standard of protection, consistent with Australian privacy law and strong global privacy standards, and we put safeguards in place such as contractual protections with the providers who handle it on our behalf.
9. How Long We Keep It
We keep your information only as long as we need it: to support your membership and fit history, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. When you close your account, you can ask us to delete your personal information, and we will, unless we are legally required to keep some of it. Your fit notes, and any session recording you chose to make, can be deleted on request at any time.
10. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, understand how it is used, and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning some off may affect how parts of the site work.
11. How We Protect Your Information
We use industry standard measures, including encryption and secure servers, to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat your information as if it were our own, and we hold your fitting and body information to a higher standard of care than anything else we handle.
12. If Something Goes Wrong
If a data breach ever occurred that was likely to cause you serious harm, we would act quickly to contain it, and we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under Australian law. You would hear it from us directly, in plain language, along with what we were doing about it.
13. This Service Is for Adults
The Bra Fit Experience is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will remove it.
14. Your Rights
- Access: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct: fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete: ask us to erase your information, where the law allows.
- Withdraw consent: for sensitive information or marketing, at any time.
- Complain: raise a concern with us, and with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you are not satisfied.
